Meeting with Calum Reid, Patient and Public Engagement Co-Ordinator for the Lancs Teaching Hospitals (LTHFT) Research and Development Group

CR a member of the Lay Research Group, a team of volunteers whose aim is to involve patients in medical research.

They work alongside NHS health professionals on new research projects, particularly in areas such as cancer treatment, from a patient perspective.

The group consists entirely of volunteers and they are looking to add to their numbers.

Of particular interest are younger people, those from a BAME background or those with a disability, and particularly those who have lived experience of ill health.
