Preston Health & Wellbeing Partnership Meeting

Issues discussed

1 Social Prescribing. TD to work with others in project to set up a model where all groups dealing with SPs meet to examine how social prescribing is working and how model can be developed. LM advised on hold as waiting for more info.

2 Preston Women’s Health and Wellbeing Events. Empower event on April 27 and follow up on July 21. TD asked if still vacancies for stalls, speakers. Advised first event full but spaces for second event.

3 Rough Sleepers. LM updated. Permission give for new night service with medical provision.

4 Priority Wards. These are Fishwick, St Matts and Deepdale. Action plan being formulated.

5 Suicide and Self Harm. Bernie Smith of PCC community engagement team gave update on suicide and self harm strategy. Action plan being drawn up.

6 Sport England Active Lives Place Partnership. Approval agreed to apply for funding.

7 Measles update. Cases increasing. Struggle to reach certain communities. TD advised localise campaign and stress safety and OK re religious objections.

Next meeting May 13.
