THERE were inspiring stories and a host of useful info to pick up at yesterday’s ‘Better Together’ Sight Loss Info Day for visually impaired members of the BAME community.

A great turnout at the Pukar Disability Resource Centre in Preston heard representatives from a range of groups including the RNIB and Galloway’s Society for the Blind deliver a range of informative talks.

Subjects included developing cooking skills, how to utilise the ‘Alexa’ system to your best advantage and the latest technology and reading devices available to the visually impaired.
