A BRAND new initiative headed by ‘Patricia, The Little Sexy Bus,’ is set to raise awareness about HIV, test people who might be at risk and promote the use of the new PrEP treatment.
‘Patricia’ is starting a tour of various sites across the North West to mark the start of National HIV testing week today, February 6.
The vehicle is an exhibition van equipped with a safe, clinical space, awning for those sunny days, fully accessible inner consultation room, hot and cold running water, TV and literature.
The project was officially launched at a well attended send off at The Fatima Centre on Garstang Road with the Mayor of Preston Cllr Neil Darby cutting the ribbon to officially get Patricia on the road.
The bus will be at the Flag Market today before setting off around the region spreading the word about HIV and the new PrEP treatment which promises to be a major weapon in the fight against HIV.
